Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Domenica Calarco has slammed model Emily Ratajkowski for her views on divorce.
On September 7, Emily expressed that she thought it was “chic to be divorced by 30”.
“As someone who got married at 26 and has been separated for a little over a year, I have to tell you. I don’t think there’s anything better,” the 32-year-old told her TikTok followers.
However, these comments didn’t land well with the Domenica, as during the September 13 episode of her Sit With Us podcast, she accused Emily of “glamorising divorce”.

The former TV bride, who got divorced at 28 after two months of marriage, explained that the former actress’ views “stirred up emotions within [her]”.
She also disagreed with Emily’s comment that there’s “nothing better” than being in your 30s “having tried that married fantasy”, and having your whole dating life “still ahead of you”.
“That’s just really not the case for a lot of people,” the 30-year-old continued. “At the time of my separation the last thing I was thinking about was being in another relationship.
“The thing that I was thinking about was, ‘Is anyone even going to want me?’ [because] I felt so much shame around my divorce.”

Whilst Domenica previously viewed herself as “damaged goods” after her divorce, she explained that she no longer feels this way.
“The idea of failure and the fact that it has any negative connotation to it is really sad,” she told her co-host Ella Ding. “There’s [so much beauty] in failure because you learn from mistakes.”
And it seems time really does heal all wounds, as Domenica is now dating a new man, Jack Norris, who also happened to be the best man at her OG wedding.
