Controverisal Married at First Sight Australia participant Nasser Sultan has been busted buying fake Instagram followers.

The 2018 TV groom recently took to the ‘gram to boast about reaching a milestone of 100,000 followers on the photo-sharing app.

While he asserts it’s because he’s always “being real”, Yahoo! Lifestyle has debunked the Season Five groom’s claims.

According to the publication, his new fans are actually bot followers, as discovered through an audit of Nasser’s account on Social Blade.

There, it was discovered the reality star was consistently losing followers every day for several months but somehow gained 14,400 new fans on September 1.

Yahoo! added that the “sudden influx” boosted Nasser’s account from 91,812 to 106,212 followers in just 24 hours. However, he’s since gone back to consistently losing several hundred fans per day.

The 56-year-old’s most recent Instagram post also received under 50 likes. This means that only 0.04% of his followers engaged with his content. Yikes.

Married at First Sight‘s Nasser Sultan responds to claims his Instagram followers are bots

When contacted for comment by Yahoo! Lifestyle, Nasser claimed he had no idea how to purchase followers.

“If someone can buy me or show me how to obtain them I’ll be happy to take them,” he said.

“Maybe I should put out a video asking people to show me how? Because apparently if you have lots you can become an influencer.” LOL.

The latest revelation comes after the website revealed in September 2022 that almost half of Nasser’s followers were bots, mainly based in Turkey and Iran.

This honestly surprises us none, given Nasser’s history of faking it ’til he makes it! At the very least, you’ve gotta admire his tenacity…
