Married at First Sight Australia 2018’s Nasser Sultan has vehemently denied buying nearly half his entire Instagram follower count.
Despite spending the past five years using his social media platforms to systematically p*ss-off cast members from every MAFS season, the chronically online 55-year-old claimed he had no clue how to buy followers for Instagram.
As reported by Yahoo! Lifestyle, a Social Blade analysis found that his follower count had increased from 42,000 to 88,500 in just one year (from August 2021 to 2022).
The publication suggested that almost half of his current followers are “bots”, primarily based in “Turkey and Iran”.
Influencer analysis AI Hype Auditor mined data that proved Nasser has an engagement rate of just 0.07 per cent – meaning that, on average, just 62 of his 88,500 followers like each of his posts. Ouch!
Nasser organically had around 70,000 Instagram followers after MAFS aired in April 2018.
The publication also alleged the constant onslaught of Nasser’s “online trolling” caused his follower count to drop to 40,000 by October of the same year.

Never afraid to comment on his (and other people’s) scandals, Nasser responded to the publication by saying he would happily add fake followers if someone were to buy them for him, but he hadn’t so far.
“If someone can buy me or show me how to obtain them, I’ll be happy to take them,” Nasser said.
He continued: “Maybe I should put out a video asking people to show me how? Because apparently, if you have lots you can become an influencer.”
