The Challenge Australia 2022’s Suzan Mutesi claimed she graduated from Australia’s most prestigious acting school, The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and sorry but we’re not convinced.
After being called a “fake actor”, the controversial reality star decided to prove her fans wrong by going on a massive rant on her Instagram Story about how she’s actually a real actor.
“First they call me the fake influencer, now they’re calling me the fake actor who has never attended NIDA,” she started.
Suzan then explained she’d done stunt work, coaching and acting classes with “great casting directors” and actors that we’d never heard of, and go off sis!
She finished off her monologue by showing her NIDA graduation certificate to her followers. However, upon closer inspection, the certificate looks about as real as her Insta pics.
As reported in episode 311 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one fan even noticed that the 37-year-old merely completed a ONE MONTH course at the institution. And that’s if the certificate is even real.
Suzan also received this ‘certification’ back in 2005, so maybe she participated in a holiday program there? LOL!
We also did a little digging and according to the NIDA Alumni database, nobody by the name of Susan Mufumbiro, the name listed on her certificate, ever attended the school. So we’re declaring this case closed.
How do you get into NIDA?
NIDA offers courses to any person aged two and over. These have no auditions or vetting processes and people who complete them aren’t considered NIDA graduates.
On the other hand, the more legit Studio and Residency extended courses are selective and they require an intensive application process. In fact, only around 24 applicants a year are accepted.
Some of NIDA’s most iconic graduates include Baz Luhrmann, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Snook, Mel Gibson, Hugo Weaving and Judy Davis, but certainly not Suzan Mutesi.

This wasn’t the first time Suzan has been caught fudging a few details about her life. She’s also been busted purchasing Instagram followers, fabricating her lifestyle and creating fake sponsored posts, so her credibility is at an all-time low.
She’s also been responsible for numerous abysmal Photoshop jobs and honestly, we’d expect better quality from a three-year-old.
Not only that but she allegedly invited herself to the Logies and we gotta admit, girl’s got balls.
