The Challenge Australia 2022‘s Suzan Mutesi has denied gate-crashing the 2023 Logie Awards red carpet after insiders claimed she’d purchased a general admission ticket.

Suzan — who’s been dubbed a “sham influencer” — reportedly managed to weasel her way into the Logies on July 30 without a proper invitation.

Several witnesses spoke to So Dramatic! about the incident, with one claiming she “schmoozed herself down the red carpet”. And come on, you gotta respect the hustle!

However, The Challenge contender has categorically denied she did such a thing.

In several radio interviews on August 2, Suzan said she was given “passes” to the event.

“I didn’t scam my way on, they gave us passes to go to the Logies,” she told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“I’m acquainted with a few actors who was [sic] there and wanted to support my friends… people are blowing it out of proportion.”

She added: “I’m a Black girl being given an opportunity… It’s not a race card but who else are they picking on? Let’s be honest.”

Suzan also told 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin that she isn’t “embarrassed” about the debacle because she didn’t “gate-crash”.

The Challenge‘s Suzan Mutesi’s Logies story has changed several times

A spokesperson for the TV Week Logie Awards confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that Suzan “was not invited to the event”.

“But [she] walked the red carpet. She was not a guest in the ceremony.”

Channel Seven and Channel 10’s publicity teams also confirmed to the outlet that she was not on their guest lists.

However, the 37-year-old intimated that she was supposed to be seated inside the ceremony with “many famous friends”, but decided against it because she was unwell.

“I didn’t go close to the tables, I stayed up in the foyers because of the nausea,” she told The Daily Telegraph on August 1.

“I had friends who were doing interviews and media, so I decided not to sit on any tables just in case, and viewed from the top.”

“The top” of The Star Theatre was reserved for members of the public, who had purchased $99 tickets to the Logies.

She also told the publication she couldn’t remember who she was sitting alongside on the upper level.

Suzan later admitted to The Daily Telegraph that she sat upstairs because she was gifted a general admission ticket.

“A media friend bought my general admission tickets, but I was invited to go on the red carpet,” she said.

However, the one-time reality star wouldn’t clarify who had bought her ticket.
