Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Tahnee Cook has called out fans for speculating she’s pregnant after posting a photo of herself and Ollie Skelton.

The unproblematic queen has been staying out of drama since her stint in the marriage experiment. However, she ain’t taking her followers’ “uncomfortable” comments lying down.

Having spent the weekend at this year’s Splendour in the Grass festival, the 27-year-old shared a series of snaps alongside the caption: “Having a splendid time this weekend with [Ollie].”

In the Instagram carousel, she sported the cutest pink maxi dress as she cuddled up to her bae with a Smirnoff Seltzer can.

“Lovely to see you two still going strong,” one user wrote. Meanwhile, another joked that Ollie’s black outfit and Tahnee’s bright dress were giving off “Oppenheimer vs Barbie vibes”. LOL!

However, unfortunately, that’s not where the commentary stopped.

A number of Tahnee’s fans asked whether she was expecting a child, with one writing: “Is that a little bump?”

“When’s the baby due?” another questioned.

“Love you guys from the start and hopefully new beginnings,” a third said alongside a baby emoji.

“Looking pregnant in the last pic.” Ummm, are these people OK?

What did Married at First Sight‘s Tahnee Cook say about the pregnancy speculation?

Tahnee later took to her Instagram Story to “address some of the comments” that were popping up on her post.

The podcaster noted that she was hesitant to talk about it, but bit the bullet after seeing several comments of “the same nature”.

“So I posted a photo of Ollie and I at Splendour, I was wearing a really cute maxi dress and noticing comments asking when the baby was true, or if I’m expecting or am I pregnant?” she explained.

“I don’t really think it’s a nice thing to comment if someone is expecting a child. Just don’t think it’s something cool to comment on.”

The MAFS bride clarified: “I am not expecting a child. I did have a huge steak sandwich and chips right before I took that photo.”

She confessed her “weight isn’t something [she is] insecure about”, but she became more conscious of it when reading the comments.

Tahnee then noted that she was “also holding alcohol in the photo”.

“So, if I was pregnant, I probably wouldn’t be drinking,” she asserted. “I think just be mindful of what comments you are commenting on people’s content.

“You don’t know what they’re going through and if that might be a trigger for them.”

She also wrote over the Story: “Please stop asking me about babies and if I’m pregnant. It makes me uncomfortable that this is something I regularly see and feel the need to clarify constantly.”

Followers defend Married at First Sight‘s Tahnee Cook in the comment section

After her Story went live, a number of Tahnee’s fans defended her underneath the Splendour post.

“Literally why are ppl asking abt babies like mind your goddamn business. She’s not preggo and now she feels uncomfortable and like having a totally normal body that changes shape through the days and months is something that shouldn’t be happening [sic],” one wrote. “Her story made me so sad and mad.”

A second commented: “Shook people are asking if you’re pregnant when most of us can’t even look that slim even when we aren’t pregnant.”

“You don’t look pregnant lovely,” a third acknowledged.

The main takeaway? Don’t comment on someone’s body, ever. It’s just not it.
