OG The Real Housewives of Sydney star Lisa Oldfield has dropped some massive bombshells about how she was treated on the show.

In case you hadn’t heard by now, RHOS is coming back to the small screen with a whole new cast after its catty AF first season saw the show shelved in 2019.

While fans of the globally acclaimed franchise are keen for round two, Lisa, 48, has admitted she hopes the new housewives have a better fate than she did.

Referring to The Real Housewives of Melbourne’s Gina Liano’s recent Stellar interview, Lisa said she’s “glad” the “soul-destroying” franchise has been exposed.

“I naively joined the [RHOS] cast in 2016, despite suffering from a severe neck injury, a miserable marriage and a father (whom I adore) who was very ill,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I tried very hard to pull out of my commitment to the program but was assured the producers would support me.”

However, Lisa claims this is not the case.

“Instead, they exploited my vulnerability, lied and pitted me against women I did not know (and had deliberately cast knowing full well we had nothing in common).”

Lisa Oldfield hits back at claims she was to blame for The Real Housewives of Sydney‘s cancellation

Lisa, who is the former wife of One Nation party co-founder David Oldfield, then hit out at Foxtel for alleging she was the reason behind The Real Housewives of Sydney being canned.

“When RHOS failed,I was unilaterally blamed by Foxtel for it for being ‘too mean’,” she added.

“So [I] wish the cast of Season 2 of RHOS all the best. They are clearly made of sterner stuff than me.”

Lisa concluded: “As a little bird once said, ‘Je Ne Regrette Rien’.

“I tick it off my bucket list of spectacular f*ck ups. That and my marriage.” OUCH!

What did Gina Liano say about her Real Housewives experience?

In her Stellar chat, Gina said fans shouldn’t expect her to return to RHOM following her 2018 exit.

“It all got too much,” she said of the four seasons she was a part of. “I’ve had a lot of conversations with [co-star] Lydia [Schiavello] about feeling quite traumatised at the end of it all because you’re constantly in trouble.

“You’re in constant conflict.”

The 57-year-old said that “someone’s always trying to catch you out” on set.

“It feels like being a kid at school and waiting for the principal to call you into their office,” Gina added. “You have that anxious, ‘What did I do wrong?’, shamed, humiliated and embarrassed feeling.”

While there’s potential the behind-the-scenes has improved, production insiders claim The Real Housewives of Sydney reboot is in shambles.

In particular, NRL WAG Terry Biviano is reportedly already causing chaos during filming.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the “feisty” shoe designer has confronted producers over “simmering issues”.

As such, the RHOS community have reportedly spent recent weeks “feverishly discussing” the WAG’s longevity on the show.

If that’s not an indicator of the drama to come, we don’t know what is!
