Married at First Sight Australia 2021‘s Sam Carraro has shared a number of controversial opinions on his Instagram Story regarding transgender rights.

On July 11, he shared a news clip to his Story that explained that California has become the first state to pass a law that gives “groundbreaking new rights” to transgender students.

This includes the freedom to choose what gendered school bathroom or locker room they use, based on their gender identity.

In a subsequent post, Sam questioned: “How do these f*cking moron humans manage to get these arguments in Parliament[?]”

He then opened the floor to his followers, asking them to share their thoughts in a question box.

“F*ck no,” one user wrote, to which Sam said: “I agree.”

“Yep it’s crook,” the former MAFS groom concurred when another follower said the law was a “f*cken [sic] disgrace”.

A third wrote: “The most f*cked up thing possible. Sick AF.”

“Yeah it’s rather scary I think,” Sam replied. “The sharing bathrooms like seriously.”

When one follower said the new Californian law was “great” because people “should have the right to feel safe and accepted”, Sam wasn’t so sure.

“So women would feel safe in a change room with males… Mmmmm I wouldn’t of thought so,” he penned.

Sam isn’t the first reality star to share a controversial take on transgender individuals and rights, however.

Love Island Australia‘s Isabelle Green suggested being transgender is a ‘mental illness’

In January, Love Island Australia 2019‘s Isabelle Green suggested that being transgender is a “mental illness” in a soon-deleted Instagram post.

The mum of one took to the social media app on January 12 to reshare a meme that read: “Your ancestors who were bombed in trenches watching you have a panic attack when you forget your cherry vape at home.”

As if using veterans’ experiences for laughs wasn’t gross enough, wait until you hear what she captioned the post.

“No offence… but wtf happened to our generation?!!” she penned.

“This whole trans[gender] thing, nope not for me. It’s got to stop — it’s called mental illness. Kkk [sic] bye.”

She quickly copped a sh*t-ton of backlash, only to double down on her take by claiming being transgender is a ‘pedophilia loophole’.

Married at First Sight’s Dean Wellscontroversial takes on transgender issues which even saw him be dropped by his management have also been well documented.
