The mum of one took to the social media app on January 12 to reshare a meme that read: “Your ancestors who were bombed in trenches watching you have a panic attack when you forget your cherry vape at home.”

As if using veterans’ experiences for laughs wasn’t gross enough, wait until you hear what she captioned the post.

“No offence… but wtf happened to our generation?!!” she penned.

“This whole trans[gender] thing, nope not for me. It’s got to stop — it’s called mental illness. Kkk [sic] bye.”

F*cked, right? And honestly, if you’re going to start a sentence with “no offence”, you’re totally expecting to offend people.

Not only does Isabelle’s post contribute to stigmatisation and spreading of misinformation about the transgender community, it also invalidates individuals’ who feel their assigned sex does not align with the gender they identify with.

It seems the Love Island intruder copped backlash pretty quickly for her sentiment because the post was swiftly deleted.

While Isabelle is yet to address what may be the most offensive take of 2023 (and we’re only 13 days in), several reality TV fans shared their dismay over the post.

What have people said about Isabelle Green’s post about transgender people and mental illness?

Taking to So Dramatic!‘s COMMUNI-TEA Facebook group, users couldn’t believe what Isabelle had shared.

“What the f*ck!!!!!” one penned, adding: “Hopefully enough people saw this that she’ll be shamed into crawling back into the whole from whence she came [sic].”

Another said it was “a horrible thing to think let alone actually post.”

“What an odd thing to say,” a third commented.

A fourth said that she was “indoctrinated by Sky News“, a news outlet that’s considered to have a conservative, right-wing bias.

However, there were some fans sceptical about Isabelle’s intent, suggesting there was a “typo” that changed the meaning of her post. Uh-huh, sure, Jan.

“Surely that’s a typo because WHAT,” one user wrote.

Another said: “I’m sure it’s a typo of some sort, I’ve met her and worked with her, she’s genuinely a very nice person.”

Others weren’t buying it, with one So Dramatic! listener replying: “You can be very nice and still have hurtful views, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. I’ve met a lot of very nice racists.”

The user was backed up by another who said Isabelle was “a transphobe.”
