In case you’re new to the franchise, Below Deck Down Under follows the lives of those working as crew aboard a glamorous superyacht.

Believe us when we say it’s a hell of a lot more dramatic than you’d expect!

Who is the cast for Below Deck Down Under Season Two?

Fan favourites Captain Jason Chambers and Aesha Scott will be back for the new season.

However, there’ll be no more familiar faces joining the official cast as the crew has been given a total shake-up.

New crew members include Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, Bosun Luke Jones, Deckhands Adam Lukasiewicz and Harry Van Vliet, and Stews Laura Bileskaine and Margot Sisson

Is the yacht the same as Below Deck Down Under Season One?

While Below Deck Down Under‘s OG season was filmed on superyacht Thalassa (formerly Kerri Lee III), Season Two was filmed on M/Y Northern Sun.

The 61-metre-long wasn’t always a luxury yacht, though. In 1976, the yacht was an ice-classed marine research vessel in Japan.

It was then acquired by private owners in 2005 before embarking on a multi-year refit in the Philipines.

Intended to stay as an explorer yacht, Northern Sun has undergone a YUGE makeover.

It now contains a games table and piano in its saloon, as well as a formal dining room and library. There is also a top deck jacuzzi that offers 360-degree views of the surrounding seas.

With a master cabin, three double and two twin cabins, Northern Sun can comfortably host 12 guests in true comfort.

Where was Below Deck Down Under Season Two filmed?

According to a press release, Captain Jason and Aesha will oversee the “lively new crew and wild guests” as they travel the “stunning waters” of Cairns, Queensland — A.K.A. “the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef”.

What can fans expect from Season Two of Below Deck Down Under?

The same press release dished that the Nothern Sun is home to some “tumultuous crew dynamics and unprecedented shake-ups”.

“Each charter includes nonstop adventure and breathtaking underwater sight-sea-ing, but unruly guests break Jason’s rules, putting their holiday in jeopardy,” it reads. “Now a more seasoned leader, Aesha takes on some of the biggest obstacles of her career while looking out for the crew’s well-being.

“A slew of hook-ups, break-ups, and a rare ‘love pentagon’ leaves the crew reeling as tension spills over on deck.”

Hook it to our veins!

When can you watch Below Deck Down Under Season Two?

The second season of Below Deck Down Under will be available for streaming exclusively on Hayu from July 18, the same day as it airs in the US.

Beginning on July 25, two new episodes will be available back-to-back each week.
