The Bachelor Australia fave Alisha Aitken-Radburn has announced the release of her debut book, The Villain Edit.

Fans of the franchise came to know and love Alisha when she first stepped foot in the Bachie mansion during Nick Cummins‘ season in 2018.

And, although she was originally touted as a member of the “villain” trio alongside Romy Poulier and Cat Hennesy, she quickly joined the ranks of TV icons during her subsequent two reality stints on Bachelor In Paradise in 2019 and 2020.

Now, just over a month after marrying her BIP co-star Glenn Smith, Alisha has announced her next career move: becoming an author!

Taking to Instagram on June 4, the 30-year-old revealed that her book has been three years in the making.

“I can’t express just how long I’ve been waiting to share this news with you and I am so grateful to [publishing house Allen and Unwin] for giving me the opportunity to share my story in such a raw, honest form,” she wrote.

What is Alisha Aitken-Radburn’s book The Villain Edit about?

Alisha told her followers that her book “charts [her] journey through the smoke-and-mirrors world of politics, reality TV and social media”.

“It reveals how the perceptions of others can rewrite the story of who we think we are and what we believe we are worth,” she explained.

Adding that she began the “very first notes” of the memoir while flying to Fiji for her “final season of the Bachelor franchise“, Alisha said the process of writing The Villain Edit has been “both the biggest challenge and biggest joy”.

“I really can’t wait to share it with you,” she concluded.

Of course, Glenn jumped to the comment section ASAP to share his excitement for his new wife.

“My wife is a published author!” he penned. “I’m so incredibly proud of you.

“I have seen first-hand how hard you have worked and the hours spent on this book.”

Fellow Bachelor alum Irena Srbinovska also commented, writing: “Well done gorgeous, can’t wait to read it.”

“Congrats, Lish. Great work!” The Bachelor 2019 star Matt Agnew said, while Locky Gilbert penned: “Congrats.”

The Villain Edit will be available in bookstores on August 29.
