Married at First Sight Australia 2021‘s Booka Nile has shared devastating family news just hours after giving birth to her son.

The 33-year-old took to Instagram on April 9 to announce she’d welcomed her first child with Luke Millar, just a day before returning to the app on April 10 to reveal her grandmother sadly passed away.

“This has been such a bittersweet time,” Booka wrote alongside a video of her grandmother rubbing her baby bump.

“Hours after my baby boy drew his first breath this weekend my nana drew her last. And as my dad became a grandfather for the first time, he lost his mother.”

Concluding the post, the musician said the matriarch was “so missed already”.

“RIP Nana. We love you.”

Sharing the arrival of her son, Booka expressed her unconditional love for the new addition on social media.

“Welcome to the world my little Easter baby.”

A series of snaps accompanied the announcement, led by an image of Booka cradling her son in her hospital bed.

The former TV bride was yet to announce his name at the time of writing.

Upon revealing she was pregnant in September 2022, Booka confessed she and her child’s father were not together and “have no plans to be”.

However, they had high hopes to strengthen their bond to be “great friends” as they co-parent.

“Our only goal is that our son is loved and cared for by both of us and that he grows up knowing how loved he is by his mum and dad.”
