SAS Australia 2021‘s Sam Burgess and his new girlfriend Lucy Graham have announced they are having a baby.
“We are so excited and happy to be starting this new chapter together… Happy days,” he said in a statement to a media outlet on March 23.
It will be the couple’s first child together. Although the pair have known each other for some years, they first publicly debuted their romance just five months ago, so they’re not wasting any time ticking off this massive relationship milestone.
The 33-year-old sportsman is already father to two children, Poppy, five, and Billy, three, who he shares with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess.
Sam split from the former journalist in 2019 after he was embroiled in an alleged sexting scandal with another woman.
When did Sam Burgess and Lucy Graham get together?
As first reported by So Dramatic! the former South Sydney Rabbitohs player publicly debuted his new girlfriend on October 16 in Rome on the red carpet for the international premiere of Poker Face, which stars and is directed by Sam’s close friend Russell Crowe.
Sam and Lucy smiled for the cameras alongside the cast, including homegrown talent Liam Hemsworth and Spanish actress Elsa Pataky.
The SAS Australia star walked the red carpet arm-in-arm with his bae, holding hands at one point and appearing very comfortable in each other’s presence.
What Else Do We Know About Sam Burgess’ Girlfriend, Lucy Graham?
Like Sam, Lucy hails from the UK and friends close to the pair have revealed to So Dramatic! that they have known each other since they were teenagers.
Lucy is also the co-founder and design director of the sustainable fashion label, Sentenced, which launched in September 2019.
News of Sam’s new relationship emerges after he returned to England in October for his involvement in the Gods of League: The Enforcers Tour alongside several other rugby league legends.
The couple returned to Sydney in December to spend the holidays with Sam’s family.
