Channel Nine suspiciously deleted footage of Tayla Winter giving an emotional speech on Married at First Sight Australia 2023 and now we’ve found out exactly what she said.
ICYMI: So Dramatic! revealed on March 8 that the bride had delivered a power speech during the last Dinner Party, expressing her true feelings about her husband Hugo Armstrong and fellow castmates.
However, when the episode went to air on March 8, the entire scene of the 27-year-old nurse was scrapped.
As revealed in episode 267 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source has shared what was written in the letter that Tayla read out.
“Tayla’s letter was about something that had happened to her when she was younger and what happened behind the scenes with Hugo. It left us all speechless,” one contestant explained.
“There were a lot of tears and we were stunned.”
Cameron Woods is said to have comforted Tayla after her emotional delivery and “gave it to Hugo” because he’s very “protective of her.”
“Cam was again the one to look after her that night,” they revealed.

According to the insider, Tayla has been given a “negative” portrayal from production but is “anything but nasty.”
“This goes deep and there is way more to the story,” they said. “How could producers show Hugo continuously kissing Tayla when she had asked him not too?
“At the retreat Ollie Skelton, Tahnee Cook and Tayla were laughing about how she is scared of the dark on camera. It makes sense why she didn’t want to share a bed with someone who was constantly berating her about not becoming intimate or sharing the bed.
“Hugo felt embarrassed that Tayla wasn’t willing to get with him and he turned nasty because of it. We all saw it by the end.
They added: “No one really speaks to Hugo anymore because of what he did. We are hoping Tayla shares the letter but we will all support her if she doesn’t.”

A MAFS producer revealed to So Dramatic! that the speech was left on the cutting room floor as it “didn’t fit with Tayla’s ‘villain’ character on the show.”
“It was very emotional and she showed a different side to herself, a softer and more vulnerable side,” they explained. “It was in complete contrast to the Tayla we’d seen throughout the rest of the season. So even though it was great footage, it didn’t suit the storyline, unfortunately.”
Even though the letter was brutally dissing a number of people, some of Tayla’s cast members “respected her” for being “so honest and open” with her true feelings.
According to the contestant, Tayla came to the Dinner Party to read a two-page letter out to the group.
“She read out this pre-written speech basically dissing a number of people, mainly Hugo,” they explained. “She was detailing how he’d upset her and all the awful things he’d done to her.
“She also accused a number of the brides of some horrible things as well.”
A second contestant described the letter as “heartbreaking” and said it left every single cast member “speechless.”
A third source has spilled even more tea about Tayla’s whereabouts after she quit the show. They confirmed she was back home in Tasmania but also claimed she had not only reunited with her ex but “hooked up/went to pound town” with him before returning for the Dinner Party.
They also revealed that Tayla and Hugo ‘have a talk” after she delivers her speech and decide to call it quits.
“Hand Hugo sit down and she says she’ll give him another chance but he says ‘no’,” they explained. “They go back to the group and announce they’re over and that’s the end of them.”
It comes after Tayla denied sexting her co-star Cameron but admitted she’d seen his penis.
