Ahead of their new arrival, the couple told Stellar Magazine that their loss in May 2022 left them extremely cautious during the current pregnancy.

“The miscarriage kind of ruins the pregnancy a little bit because ignorance is bliss,” Sarah Marie said.

“You know that things like this happen, but you don’t think it will happen to you. And when it does, it changes things. You are on alert for everything.”

Seeking reassurance, the 35-year-old said they wanted “to get all the scans and tests done”.

“Because the placenta is at the front, I don’t feel this baby move around as much as I [felt] with Malik. It all makes you a bit more wary,” she explained.

Matty went on to tell the publication that “there needs to be more awareness” and sensitivity around miscarriage, based on the hurtful instances when people asked the couple when they were planning to have another child.

“Maybe it would be better to ask people, ‘Do you want to have another baby?’, rather than, ‘When is the kid coming?'” he suggested.

“Like it’s something you go and buy from the shop.”

Taking to the ‘gram in late 2022, the Gogglebox stars shared the CUTEST family snap announcing the exciting news.

“Our family is growing! We’re so excited to welcome a new Fahd to the family in 2023,” they wrote.

“Malik has already started prepping to be a big brother, reciting endless lists of the things he will be playing with his new sibling and writing up the ‘Bulldogs for Dummies’ playbook.”

They continued: “Bane [their dog] was asked to participate in this photo but instead chose to p*ss on the front porch (thankfully out of shot).

“Play the circus music, warm up the cuddles and bring on 2023!”
