The Bachelor Australia 2021‘s Laura O’Loughlin might be onto something after she accused The Bachelors 2023 contestants Jessica Navin and Tash Candyce of being paid actors hired to stir the pot.

Laura, who appeared on Jimmy Nicholson‘s flop of a series, took to Instagram to admit she’s convinced Jessica and Tash are producer ‘plants’.

According to the 29-year-old, the biggest giveaway is that the duo’s full names are used. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast is only known to viewers by their first names.

“There are no other alternatives to me for why their full names are being used when referring to them,” Laura said.

“When the girls and guys refer to them, they say their full names. There’s no other Jess and Tash.”

It’s important to note here that there WAS another Jessica — Jessica Tomlinson. However, she got little to no airtime after going against her contract and appearing on MAFS 2023 as a wedding guest.

Laura O’Loughlin thinks Jessica Navin and Tash Candyce have specific ‘paid actor’ clauses in their contracts

There’s no denying that Jessica and Tash have amassed the most drama throughout The Bachelors 2023.

Tash; with her endeavour to expose all the other gals in the house, and Jessica; with her neverending drama surrounding her polyamorous relationship and IRL boyfriend Damien.

As such, Laura thinks their full names are being used in a bid for “notoriety”.

“It feels like their full name being used was part of their ‘actor contract’ to gain notoriety,” she suggested.

“It feels like this is all staged for drama.”

However, recent evictee Krystal Thomas said there’s a more practical reason for why their full names are being used.

“In the first week Jessica just one day said, ‘Oh you guys should start calling me Jessica Navin’,” she told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“We realised she’s just plugging her name so she can get publicity! It’s a publicity stunt from both of them.”

No sh*t, Sherlock!
