The Married at First Sight Australia 2023 cast are already in trouble with showrunners after they received a strong “warning” about their social media presence.
Ahead of the show’s January 30 premiere, Nine producers singled out multiple MAFS participants after they started reaching out to brands to “score” social media sponsorships.
But no, really, they were TOTALLY on reality TV to find true love!
“The cast have all handed their Instagram accounts over now ahead of the show,” an insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“Production have seen some [participants] already DMing brands trying to score freebies and Instagram deals.”
They continued: “Some of them have been warned this breaches their contracts and makes the show look like a joke.”
Several cast members have already nabbed themselves blue ticks, even though the show is yet to air.
This includes TikTok star Janelle Han with close to 37k followers, and beautician-slash-CEO Melinda Willis, who has 149k fans on Instagram.

Not to mention the two Married at First Sight 2023 cast members who have already considered starting OnlyFans accounts. Like, sure, get that bread, but damn, that was quick!
MAFS alum Hayley Vernon even hinted that she collaborated with a 2023 participant for the adults-only app.
“It’s funny because now I’ve got cast on the new season messaging me for advice… Mostly how to handle media and paparazzi, but two are doing OnlyFans and was asking about that,” she dished to Yahoo! Lifestyle in late 2022.
“One even joked about filming a scene with me to post when their wedding airs to get more subscribers .” OMG!
