Married at First Sight Australia pest Nasser Sultan accosted actress Margot Robbie at the Australian premiere of her new film, Babylon, in Sydney and the secondhand embarrassment is REAL.
Aussie celebrities descended on Sydney’s State Theatre on January 16 to celebrate the Hollywood blockbuster, with stars Margot, Diego Calva, Samara Weaving and Phoebe Tonkin walking the red carpet.
However, nothing was left redder than Nasser’s face after he attempted to introduce himself to the Aussie-born starlet.
According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the 55-year-old rushed to Margot’s side, only to be snubbed.
“As soon as Nasser saw Margot he made a beeline for her with a big smile on his face and stopped and said hello,” an onlooker said.
“He then stood looking a bit confused as she failed to acknowledge him and kept walking towards her fans with her bodyguards.
“It was awkward. Nasser then just stopped and watched her walk away.” LOL.
This isn’t the first time the Married at First Sight groom has had bad luck at a star-studded event, however,
Nasser Sultan was REFUSED entry to the ARIAs
In November 2022, Nasser was refused entry at the Australia Recording Industry Awards (ARIAs) after discovering his name wasn’t on the list of invitees.
Nasser reportedly wanted to attend the long-running awards show as media in an attempt to interview musicians for an unknown website.
As such, he was stuck in a crowded pen with other journalists before sneaking onto the ACTUAL red carpet.
At the time, Yahoo! Lifestyle said he “spent the rest of the evening narrowly avoiding security”. Once a pest, always a pest!
According to one source, the incident was a huge “reality check” for him.
“Nasser thought he was there as one of the big celebrity guests, had spent weeks planning his outfit and thought he’d be walking the carpet and interviewing all the big names inside,” they admitted.
“He got a reality check when he arrived and found out he was stuck behind a barrier.”
