Samara Weaving first got her big break playing the heartbroken Indi Walker on Home and Away in 2013. And while she may have started out in the Bay, she is now kickin’ it on some of the world’s biggest streaming networks with some of the world’s biggest stars — including Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy in Nine Perfect Strangers on Amazon Prime.

In the new juicy (and addictive) TV drama, Samara plays Jessica Chambers,a social media influencer that heads to Tranquillum House with her husband Ben (Melvin Gregg)  to help save her marriage.

The 29-year-old has also booked some more heavy screen time, playing Holly Madison in Holly’s self written autobiography turned mini series, ‘Down the Rabbit Hole

“It’s going to blow the socks off of what people think of Playboy and Hugh Hefner,” Samara told Harpers Bazaar.

We think the biggest hit is to come though, with the actor starring alongside the zaddy of the big screen, Brad Pitt, and fellow Aussie soapie-turned-A List celebrity,  Margot Robbie in the 2022 film ’Babylon.

If we weren’t interested in Samara before, we sure as sh*it are now and we’re claiming her before she becomes the next big thing.

Where Did Samara Weaving Grow Up?

Samara lived the childhood we wish we had lived, spending time in Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Italy and Singapore, before she made the move to Sydney in 2009.

Where Have You Seen Her Before?

Samara’s break-out role was as Indi Walker on Home and Away, a character that was literally full of doom, insecurities and grief.

“After Home and Away, I really had to work very hard on my acting and my manager was like, ‘I think you should see a drama coach,” she told New Idea in 2021.

After four years on the soap, Samara appeared in the Aussie mini-series, Picnic at Hanging Rock, before leaving for the bright lights of Hollywood and starring in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, nabbing herself multiple awards.

Since then, she has appeared in the  Netflix cult movie The Babysitter where she played Bee, a teen who was part of a demonic cult. The entire movie was full of blood and even got a sequel in 2020.. Samara also had a leading role in Bill and Ted Face the Music and then played Claire Wood in the TV mini-series for Netflix, Hollywood, playing a successful actress — art imitating life much?

Inside Samara’s Personal Life?

Samara got engaged in 2019 to American Film Writer and Director Jimmy Warden, who also happened to helm The Babysitter.

As for her friends, you can bet that a lot of them are A-listers and earlier in 2021, she was spotted  at fellow Aussie Margot Robbie’s Love Island-themed birthday bash. You can also spot Phoebe Tonkin and Lara Worthington in her comments on the reg.

You can watch Samara on Nine Perfect Strangers streaming on Amazon Prime from August 18.
