Love Island Australia 2022 winner Austen Bugeja has blasted his OG villa bae Layla John for being “fake” and finally, some REAL tea.
The 22-year-old and his girlfriend, Claudia Bonifazio, have remained relatively mum when it comes to inter-Islander drama.
Now, the duo has spilled all on the Where’s Your Head At? podcast, hosted by ex-Love Island stars, Anna McEvoy and Matt Zukowski.
In the episode that dropped on January 11, Austen and Claudia revealed which of their co-stars they don’t like, with Layla being at the top of the semi-pro footballer’s list.
“Number one would have to be Layla. I’m not a fan of Layla,” he confessed.
According to the Sydneysider, the Melburnian, who he was initially coupled up with, is “very different from what she is on the show”.
“On the show, I could not see it. She seemed like a nice girl… Then on the outside, it’s like you’re completely different to how you portrayed yourself in the villa.”
Explaining that he doesn’t appreciate people who are “fake”, Austen claimed Layla “was clout chasing” once they finished filming.
He continued: “I don’t think that would be a problem, if that’s how she portrayed herself on the show. Because she was fake on the show and I was like, ‘bro, what are you doing?’ I just can’t stand fake people.”
While Claudia initially attempted to “plead the fifth”, she backed up her bae.
“There are a few things that she’s done to people that I haven’t been a fan of,” she admitted. I think it’s very selfish, some of the things she’s done and I’ve witnessed people get very upset by some of the things she’s done.”

In the same interview, Austen and Claudia revealed which of their other co-stars they aren’t fans of.
For Claudia, Conor Howard is the one person she can’t get around.
“I’m going to be honest with you… Me and Conor had that many fights,” she said, noting fans “don’t even know half the stuff he did” to Jessica Losurdo in the villa.
“She’s great about it now. She talks so highly of him. He was so f*cking bad to her.”
What’s more, is that Austen confirmed he wasn’t so keen on Tak Chipangura either.
“It’s not that I didn’t like him, I didn’t have a problem. It’s Tak. Because, after, he said that I was jealous of him,” he said.
“And, he was saying to everyone, in articles, that I was jealous because Tak was closer to Claudia and I was like, I said to Claudia, did I ever say that I care about you hanging out with Tak? And, she was like, ‘no’.”
The revelations come after Claudia cryptically roasted her co-stars, including Layla and Conor, in a TikTok ranking challenge.
