A Doctor Confirmed With Matt that He Had “No Sperm”

“The doctor called me and said, “Look, Matt, I was going to call you in but I’ll do it over the phone, you have no sperm,'” he said.

Matt initially thought the doctor meant he had “low sperm”, however, it was confirmed that he had “no sperm”.

The reality star then went on to see other specialists who informed him that he was born with “undescended testicles”, a condition that causes testicles to grow into the stomach.

The now-model then revealed that he had undergone surgery as a child which left him with permanent damage.

“I’m sad for Matt 10 years from now who is gonna wanna have kids with the girl that he loves,” he admitted.

What Is Male Infertility?

Around 30% of fertility problems originate in the man, with 15% of couples experiencing fertility difficulties.

According to Mayo Clinic, male infertility “can be caused by low sperm production, abnormal sperm function or blockages that prevent the delivery of sperm.”

While the cause of Matt’s diagnosis is medical, Illnesses, injuries, chronic health problems, lifestyle choices and other factors may contribute to male infertility.

Signs and symptoms include:

  • Problems with sexual function — for example, difficulty with ejaculation or small volumes of fluid ejaculated, reduced sexual desire, or difficulty maintaining an erection (erectile dysfunction)
  • Pain, swelling or a lump in the testicle area
  • Recurrent respiratory infections
  • Inability to smell
  • Abnormal breast growth (gynecomastia)
  • Decreased facial or body hair or other signs of a chromosomal or hormonal abnormality
  • A lower than normal sperm count (fewer than 15 million sperm per milliliter of semen or a total sperm count of less than 39 million per ejaculate)
