Whoever said The Bachelors Australia 2023 was romantic must’ve been brainwashed because we’ve got behind-the-scenes intel about how the dates were filmed and all we can say is YIKES.
The tenth season is off to a roaring (read: questionable) start, with some gals confessing they’ve already found their “soulmate” as others literally QUIT on night one.
As revealed in episode 243 of the So Dramatic! podcast, group dates lasted for HOURS and involved a sh*t-ton of waiting around.
One spy revealed they saw The Bachelors 2023 filming at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast in mid-2022.
“Must be a group date… All three [Bachelors] are here and a bunch of girls,” they explained alongside several photos from the day.
“They were legit sitting at some tables for at least four hours. The whole time I was there.”
According to the source, Felix Von Hofe, Jed McIntosh and Thomas Malucelli would “take turns to take one girl off for one-on-one time”.
“And even then, that was just them sitting around,” they said, alongside several photos from the day. “It looked so awkward… especially when they were walking.
“They were surrounded by cameras and had to walk slowly.”
The Bachelors Australia 2023 single dates were just as cringeworthy
The Drama Army has been on top form lately, with another supersleuth spilling the deets about one of Jed’s single dates.
“Just spotted Jed and a mystery blonde filming the new Bachelor on Cavil Ave [sic] in Surfers Paradise about an hour ago,” they wrote.
In a video they provided, Jed and the blonde are holding hands as they walk around an outdoor shopping centre.
After host Megan Pustetto probed for more info, the spy said the pair “caught [her] eye because it was so set up”.
“Then I heard a producer signal for them to turn into the shopping centre, so they would have run off camera,” they said. “[Jed] was saying, ‘Oh God, I don’t know where to go or what to do’, and awkwardly laughed.”
The couple reportedly chatted to a producer “for a while in the mall” before Jed and his date were split up “so she could do her monologue to the camera”.
“It was so weird because she was standing outside Footlocker doing her interviews and he was hiding around the corner with his producer waiting for her to finish.”

Behind the scenes of Thomas Malucelli’s The Bachelors Flash Dates
A THIRD spy slid into the DMs with behind-the-scenes footage of Thomas gearing up for one of his Flash Dates at the beginning of the series.
According to the fan, she was sitting her car “when [she] saw a film crew arrive with a very good-looking man with a red rose”.
“I heard them call him Thomas.”
In the video, Thomas gets a touch-up from one of the makeup artists while other crew members linger around.
