RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under host Rhys Nicholson has roasted Married at First Sight Australia’s Dean Wells after he shared his unsolicited opinion on ABC’s New Year’s Eve coverage.

The 32-year-old comedian joined The Weekly’s Charlie Pickering in hosting the NYE variety show.

The celebrations included performances from Australian Idol alum Courtney Act and Casey Donovan, as well as The X Factor winner Dami Im.

But serial sh*t-stirrer Dean lamented that the national TV network was using “taxpayer dollars” to celebrate inclusivity on a secular holiday.

“Tax payer dollars really getting put to good use here,” Dean commented on a playful promotional video for the New Year’s Eve event on ABC’s Instagram.

Rhys responded with an absolutely brutal read of the reality star, writing: “Happy New Year Dean! I don’t know who you are either but great neck-to-head ratio! Congrats [sic]!”

The comment section has since been turned off, but Rhys managed to share the thread on their Instagram story.

“Love making new friends. See you on NYE on ABC,” the Netflix star wrote. SCREAMING!
