Married at First Sight Australia 2022’s Daniel Holmes had his Instagram account unceremoniously nuked after his countless fatphobic rants about an activewear-clad mannequin from 2019.
As reported in episode 238 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the former personal trainer‘s social media was temporarily disabled for “sexual and nudity content”.
In a since-deleted post, Daniel wrote: “Santa I didn’t want a disabled account for Christmas but ya gave me one ya bugga [sic]!”
He continued: “My main account was disabled for sexual and nudity content apparently. For anyone that follows me knows I never post sexual content. I’m in the process of getting my account but they don’t make it easy.
“With that said anyone that’s had any experience in this field or advice please get in touch with me (DM me). Hope everyone’s had a great festive season.”
It was almost a normal post, but then Daniel added the #Matrix and #DanielHolmes (yep, he used his own name as a hashtag).
On December 20, Daniel’s main account was unfortunately up and running again. He shared a screenshot of Instagram’s message, which claimed his account was “disabled by mistake”.
Why was Daniel Holmes’ Instagram really taken down?
Our exclusive source was one of many who have assumed he actually received the takedown for hate speech and bullying, rather than sexual content.
“Imagine going on MAFS for [Instagram] followers and losing your account even before the next season starts,” our spy said.
They continued: “Maybe it is for advertising his OnlyFans as it’s against Instagram guidelines. But I am leaning more towards his bullying, awful recent comments siding with Kanye [West], [Donald] Trump and [Andrew] Tate, among other awful comments he’s made.”
The source noted Daniel appeared to have bought 28,000 followers for his backup account, as the actual posts had disproportionately low likes.
During their hunt for the truth, the spy also noticed that Daniel had a (since-deleted) fan page called “onlyforfans-danielholmes”, which was allegedly created before he appeared on MAFS. Major cringe!
