Turns out Love Island Australia 2022‘s Austen Bugeja‘s ex-girlfriend Jasmine Sultana was also invited onto the show for this season’s now-infamous “Ex Week”.
ICYMI: The beloved Casa Amor was Casa No More this year after the producers swapped it out for “Ex Week”. During the explosive twist, we saw 2021 winners-slash-exes Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd face each other again in the villa, and Jason Shtjefni also made a bid for his former flame Claudia Bonifazio‘s heart.
It was later revealed in episode 237 of the So Dramatic! podcast that Austen’s ex-bae was also offered to make waves on the show too!
The bombshell revelation came to light when Jasmine shared a message from a troll on her Instagram Story in December.
The message read, “Claudia’s hotter than you”, to which she responded: “Like I give a f*ck. Get well soon babe.”
“The audacity of some people,” Jasmine captioned the post, before adding in a subsequent slide: “If I wanted the attack, I would of accepted the offer to go on the show but I clearly didn’t for a reason [sic].
“Leave me alone xx.”
The Story was then shared by a secondary account Dutchminty, who confirmed that she is Austen’s ex-girlfriend.

Thanks to a grid post in which Austen tagged Jasmine, it appears the pair were dating in January 2020.
As reported in episode 238 of the So Dramatic! podcast, we’ve since got in touch with Jasmine, who spilled the tea on her romance with the Islander.
“We dated for three years and we were both so young,” she explained. “I didn’t like some of his behaviours so I ended it with him.”
According to Jasmine, Austen “was a very emotional guy” and she “couldn’t put up with the stress anymore”.
“But I wish him all the best.”
While his ex’s appearance in the villa would have certainly shaken things up, self-proclaimed “snake” Phoebe Spiller recently put Austen and Claudia’s romance in jeopardy after the “Naughty List” challenge.
Welp, it wouldn’t be Love Island if there were no tests!
