Casa Amor is undoubtedly the most drama-filled part of every Love Island but this year on Love Island Australia 2022, the explosive twist has been scrapped.
As revealed in episode 235 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a spokesperson for Channel Nine confirmed that unfortunately, there will be no Casa Amor twist on the show this year. #SadFace
“No Casa Amor this year, we just had a range of bombs enter throughout the series this season,” they said.
The spokesperson did however confirm that there are a number of bombs still left to enter the villa in the coming weeks, starting this week, so not all love – and drama – is lost!
What Is the Love Island Casa Amor Twist?
Casa Amor – which fittingly translates to ‘love house’ – is arguably the most explosive part of every Love Island season.
The female Islanders are separated from the male Islanders and placed in two separate villas with a bunch of hot new bombs to be enticed by and to test the connection they have already established with their partner.
The Islanders are then asked if they wish to stick with their original partner or pick one of the new bombshells to recouple with, often with explosive results and a whoooole lot of drama!
Why Is There No Casa Amor on Love Island Australia 2022?
While Aussie fans are set to miss out on the glorious mess that Casa Amor brings to the show, this season featured the first-ever ‘Ex Week,’ which saw the return of 2021 winners Mitch Hibberd and Tina Provis, as well as the arrival of Jason Shtjefni — Claudia Bonifazio‘s former beau of one year.
Despite the inclusion of the uber-messy ‘Ex Week,’ fans are evidently still PISSED at the idea of missing out on the hot mess of the infamous Casa Amor.
Let’s hope the rest of the season is chaotic enough to make up for the lack of Casa Amor drama!
