Love Island Australia 2022 bomb Tina Provis has revealed the exact moment her ex-bae Mitch Hibberd confessed he hooked up with their 2021 co-star Emily Ward.
TBH, we all thought #Titch was endgame after they took home the $50K prize money last year, so we were completely SHOOK when they announced they’d broken up.
However, not nearly as shookth as we were when they walked back into the villa on Love Island Australia 2022 for Ex Week.
Chatting to former Love Island Afterparty host and It’s A Lot podcaster Abbie Chatfield back in March, Tina admitted it took some coaxing to get Mitch to ‘fess up to his post-breakup rendezvous.
“I didn’t exactly get the truth from the horse’s mouth straight away,” the 25-year-old said. “I was like, ‘Is there something you want to tell me?'”
Tina then said Mitch initially feigned innocence, even asking her “When?”, after she brought up the “rumour” he’d hooked up with Emily.
She continued to probe him, with the Islander relaying to Abbie: “I was like, ‘Okay, you’re lying now, just say it’. Then I got it out [of him].”
What Happened Amid Tina and Mitch’s Breakup?
On February 15, Tina took to Instagram to announce her split from Mitch, who then posted his own statement soon after.
However, one So Dramatic! spy slid into our DMs a number of days prior to the announcement with knowledge of their breakup. Plus, spilled the piping hot tea about Mitch hooking up with Emily.
ICYMI: Mitch and Emily had a brief flirtation in the Love Island villa before the former footballer decided his heart was actually with Tina.
“Mitch and Tina have [broken] up and Mitch [hooked up] with Emily from Love Island last night,” the source said on February 12. But how does this insider know such juicy goss?
“I have a friend that’s friends with Ben [Giobbi] from Love Island,” they confessed. “[Emily] also slept with Ben last weekend.
“I can’t even make this up.”
Why Did Tina Provis And Mitch Hibberd Break Up?
According to Tina, her relationship with Mitch didn’t end for any big reason.
“Sometimes the timing is off, things don’t quite align, and that’s just life,” she said in her announcement after noting that she was “absolutely shattered”.
Our source also revealed that Mitch was the one to call time on the relationship.
“Apparently they were both planning on it then Mitch did it first,” they spilled. “Tina also didn’t want to move [from Sydney to Melbourne].”
The day following the breakup announcement, Tina posted a video from her home in Bondi with the caption: “I love where I live.”
