Philanthropist Adrian Portelli puts “dummy bidding” rumours to bed once and for all after purchasing Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra’s house from The Block Australia 2022.

ICYMI – The entrepreneur went head-to-head in a brutal bidding war with Danny Wallis for House Five during the November 6 finale, driving the final sale price to record highs and sparking “dummy bidding” rumours.

Adrian had planned to give House Five away as a promotional package for charity, similar to what Danny has done with some of his purchases from previous seasons of The Block

While Adrian had initially planned on giving away a Gold Coast mansion as a “replacement” for House Five, it appears he wanted to “ruffle some feathers” after being inundated with rumours that his bank account wasn’t as loaded as it seemed.

Taking to Instagram on November 11 to share his “massive news”, Adrian wrote: “Someone’s winning one of The Block houses!

“A lot of Australia doubted the man however Adrian has gone and bought Ankur and Sharon’s house 3 and one of you lucky buggers is going to win it! [sic]. Where are the nay-sayers now?”

The Block 2022 Builder Reveals the Staggering Price Adrian Portelli Paid for House Three

One of The Block 2022‘s jaded tradies has exclusively revealed to So Dramatic! what Adrian paid for House Three.

“I have seen a number, but who knows if it [is] true,” the builder said.

The Block insider claimed Adrian paid “$4,666,666.66” for Sharon and Ankur’s house.

If those dollars and cents look familiar, it’s because that’s practically Danny’s (annoying AF) calling card. He paid $5,666,666.66 for Omar Slaimankhel and Ozman “Oz” Malik‘s property.

Our insider suggested that Adrian offered that price as a “dig at Danny”.

“Spewin’ he would have only bought it because of the backlash or comments saying he is a dummy bidder [sic],” they claimed.

However, The Blockinator Blog reported a final sale price of $4.25 million, which left “Sharon and Ankur with $170k profit [sic]”.
