Big Brother Australia‘s Skye Wheatley has been sporting a YUGE diamond ring on her left hand, sparking rumours that she’s engaged to her longtime partner, Lachlan Waugh.
The duo have been together for five years and share two sons, Forest, three and Bear, one; however, taking the next step is still yet to be seen… Until now, that is!
The 2014 housemate took to Instagram on November 3 with a gallery of herself wearing a STUNNING ring by The Prestwick Place jewellers.
Captioned simply with a string of cheeky emojis, the post garnered a sh*t-ton of attention from fans begging just one question: Are Skye and Lachlan engaged?!
“Is it an engagement ring?!?!?!?!!!” one follower penned, while another said the mum of two “manifested” it.
“Omfg and she literally made a TikTok like last week about needing to be wifed up and here it is [sic],” they wrote. “Call that manifestation.”
Another of Skye’s followers added: “Wait, what have I missed a proposal?”
So, Are Skye Wheatley and Lachlan Waugh Engaged?
Off the back of the hysteria, it wasn’t long before the Big Brother star took to the comment section to clarify that we have NOT missed a chapter in her love story.
“I’m not saying proposal beeeeeb [sic],” Skye replied to one user. However, she did add that she and Lachlan “have discussed” the prospect of him popping the question.
When another fan asked if “this is an engagement post”, the 28-year-old said, “nope”.
“I’m hurrying the process [though],” she confessed, noting it’s “without being pushy”.
The reality star later took to her Instagram Story to share her experience at The Prestwick Place, noting she was “trying on a few pieces”.
“Okay, help me,” she captioned one clip of her tossing up between a series of engagement rings.
“I’m wanting to design my own… Lachy can either use it to propose or not I don’t mind.”
Mark that down as confirmation a REAL proposal is on the way!
