A man is set to face court after allegedly breaking into Hamish and Zoë Foster Blake‘s luxury rental home and stealing a car while they were asleep.

According to the Daily Mail Australia, the Lego Masters host and businesswoman were the reported victims of the home invasion, which occurred just days before Christmas in 2021.

Daniel Booth, 34, is accused of breaking into the Woollahra home in Sydney’s east at about 6 am on Monday, December 19.

In court, police will allege that Booth entered the kitchen and stole keys from Foster Blake’s handbag before leaving in the family’s Land Rover Defender — which retails for approximately $123,919.

The long-term couple discovered that their vehicle was missing some hours later. However, the court will hear that they soon tracked it down four kilometres away in Redfern.

They then called the police, who found the allegedly stolen car before arresting Booth in a nearby apartment.

He was reportedly still in possession of the car keys and handbag.

After being charged at Mascot Police Station, Booth refused bail before an appearance in Central Local Court on December 21.

He was released on bail in June this year and is due to face Sydney District Court on November 17.

In relation to the alleged incident involving the Blakes, Booth has been charged with aggravated breaking and entering and committing a serious indictable offence with people there and stealing a motor vehicle.

Having pleaded not guilty to some of the charges, he will face a jury trial in September 2023.

Why Were Hamish and Zoë Foster Blake Staying In a Rental Property at the Time of the Invasion?

The Blakes — including son Sonny, eight and daughter Rudy, five — were renting the $5,000-a-night property while their $8.925 million Vaucluse property underwent renovations.

The couple purchased the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in December 2020 after relocating from Melbourne to Sydney.

The buy came after Foster Blake, 40, made her Australian Young Rich List debut.

At the time, the Go-To Skincare founder and author had an estimated net worth of $36 million.
