Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2022’s Ben Scowen has finally got his social media back and immediately addressed the breakup with his final pick Leish.
The 27-year-old thanked his fans for their “support” and apologised for not replying to those who had reached out to him, as Seven had deleted all his messages before giving him access.
After thanking the other female participants and farmers in a video shot on his New South Wales farm, Ben confirmed he was no longer in a relationship with the Brisbane-based hospital administrator.
“To address what’s happened with Leish and I after the show. Unfortunately, we aren’t together anymore,” Ben said.
He went on to explain: “Though we did try for some time after the show to make things work, like any relationship, we had our ups and downs, and unfortunately, we just didn’t work out.
The Wingham-based farmer noted that he didn’t “have a bad word” to say about his former partner.
“I had so much love for Leish and still to this day have some much love for the girl,” he said.

“I haven’t been hiding. I just haven’t had my socials,” Ben said.
He added: “I’ve wanted to get out and have my voice and say hello, but I just haven’t been able to. If you’ve reached out directly to me, I’m sorry I haven’t gotten back to your messages.
“All my messages have been deleted, and my Instagram has been given back to me.” That seems a bit drastic!
Although Ben appeared keen to start communicating with his fans, he left the comments off on the Instagram video.
On October 6, Leish revealed that she and her farmer had “parted ways”.
“I am completely heartbroken to announce that, sadly Ben and I have parted ways.” she penned.
“I tried everything I could to make our relationship last after the show,” she said, simultaneously quashing rumours that she never intended to move to his farm.
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t there for Ben anymore, and I was left absolutely shocked and heartbroken.”
