Just days after the finale aired, Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2022‘s Leish revealed she was blindsided when Farmer Ben Scowen broke up with her.
The FWAW 2022 reunion on October 4 indicated that the couple was still as loved up as ever — at least, that was the case when the episode was filmed earlier this year.
Now, the 31-year-old has taken to Instagram to confess that she’s “completely heartbroken” that Ben broke things off.
“I am completely heartbroken to announce that sadly Ben and I have parted ways,” she penned on October 6.
“I tried everything I could to make our relationship last after the show,” she said, simultaneously quashing rumours that she never intended to move to his farm.
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t there for Ben anymore, and I was left absolutely shocked and heartbroken.”
The hospital administrator added the bond she formed with Ben’s daughter and his family made the breakup “hurt that little bit extra”.

Leish thanked the “true selfless legends” who helped her “heal” following the split from her farmer.
“I am thankful for the support I have had these past few months from the other girls on bens [sic] farm and the other farms,” she wrote. “They have been true selfless legends in helping me heal.
“I wish Ben all the best.”
Fans thought Ben and Leish were it for each other, particularly after he confessed to being in love with her after sending runner-up Kiani home.
The farmer is yet to comment on the breakup.
