The Masked Singer Australia 2022’s Hugh Sheridan has revealed that they were secretly married for nine years.
Appearing on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show on October 12, the 33-year-old nonbinary actor dropped the shocking bombshell that they secretly got married to someone “in the same industry” in July 2011.
This means Hugh was already married when they gained national acclaim for playing Ben Rafter in Packed to the Rafters. OMG!
They explained that they had a “solid” seven years with their mystery ex, but things got “tricky”, and they started to “struggle” the final two years due to their constant travelling.
When asked how they managed to keep their long-term relationship secret, Hugh explained: “I just lived my life privately.”
Hugh confirmed that they’re still “really good friends”, and we’re SO close to deep diving into their Instagram follows for more tea.
The secret couple divorced “a few years ago”, which by our (admittedly rough) calculations, would have been sometime in 2020.
Later the same year, Hugh started publicly dating Kurt Roberts. They proposed to their boyfriend in March 2021 (Hugh’s third engagement) but announced the breakup eight months later.
“There’s plenty more engagements to come,” Hugh joked with host Jess Rowe.
And for anybody keen to take a crack at the Ross Geller of Australian actors, Hugh confirmed they are “definitely single” RN.
