Ali Oetjen‘s Bachelor In Paradise Australia 2018 bae Grant Kemp has revealed he’s engaged to girlfriend Chloe Metcalfe.
The 33-year-old has had his fair share of romances on international screens, from his first TV appearance on The Bachelorette US in 2016 to several stints on Bachelor In Paradise.
Now, it seems Grant is set to get his happily ever after with his newly minted fiancée, whom he met in April 2022.
Taking to Instagram with an official engagement announcement via PEOPLE Magazine, Grant mused that Chloe’s “answer was yes”.
In a September 9 article, the publication revealed that Grant proposed to his bae on August 30 in Santorini, Greece.
The proposal was “a few months” in the making, and the reality beau made out that the trip was for Chloe’s birthday.
“I actually originally was taking her there for a birthday gift and her birthday was in July, but we decided to go in late August,” he said.
“So it was already planned, but I kind of wanted to throw her off a little bit by saying it was a birthday trip and then doing it there, so it wasn’t as expected.”
However, the influencer admitted she “had a feeling” Grant would pop the question overseas.
“We talked about it all the time, and obviously, we were going to Greece,” she said. “So I was like, if he doesn’t do this in Greece, I’d be like when would be a better time?
“So I’m really glad it went the way that it did.”
How Did Grant Kemp and Chloe Metcalfe Meet?
The loved-up pair met in April 2022 after meeting on a mutual friend’s music video set.
From there, Grant and Chloe’s relationship progressed rapidly, with the duo already living together after their chance meeting.
“We have a house in LA now that we’ve moved into,” Grant told PEOPLE. “We started hanging out immediately after [the video shoot], and I didn’t spend another night at my house after that.”
As for their pending nuptials, the couple plans to have an L.A. wedding “within a year”.
This won’t be the first time Grant is set to marry.
After his stint on JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette in 2016, the TV Cassanova took to the third season of Bachelor In Paradise US.
There, he met Lace Morris, and the pair got engaged after the series; however, they split just a few months later.
Then, Grant appeared as an international import on the 2018 season of BIP Australia and boy, is this where things got messy.
What Happened Between Grant Kemp and Ali Oetjen?
Grant and Aussie Ali fell hard and fast upon meeting in Fiji.
The couple ended the show together, and Ali even travelled to LA to be with Grant; however, not all went well for the once blissed-out pair.
In fact, the duo had already split by the time the show aired, and the rumours surrounding their breakup were high-key cooked.
“Ali travelled to LA to see him after the show because she was considering moving there and really thought it was going to work out,” a source told Woman’s Day.
“But he tried to make her have a threesome with one of his mates, so she got scared and came running home.”
Grant then countered this claim with his own, decreeing that Ali actually cheated on him with his roommate, Misha, at a house party.
The claim was also why Nathan Favro was booted off the bombshell’s Bachelorette season because he was repeating the story to his co-stars.
It was all very messy and, TBH and was PEAK Bachelor drama.
