The location of The Block 2023 has already been leaked, and the next lot of eager Blockheads are thankfully headed back to the suburbs of Melbourne.
The upcoming season will be set across five family homes on Charming St, Hampton East, according to fan-site-turned-super-sleuth, The Blockinator Blog.
Hampton East is a suburb around 14km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD.
With allegations about “inhumane” conditions for the 2022 cast and crew in the regional Gisborne location, it was probably best that they stick to somewhere Uber Eats can reach.
What Do We Know About The Block 2023’s Hamptons East Location and Properties?
While the traditional brick abodes could create unique challenges forThe Block 2023 contestants, there are rumours the entire lot could be demolished in place of newer builds.
Hopefully, it will be worth their while, with producers reportedly paying $14.3 million for the five properties.
Channel Nine’s production team managed to acquire houses 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22, which would likely all be on one side of the street.
Out of the five properties, the most expensive buy was 20 Charming Street (which sounds straight out of a fairytale, TBH), with the 707 square-metre lot going for $3.5 million in late June, according to Domain.
Some of the homes’ interiors listed on Domain already look modern AF, which seems a waste but go off!
It’s not the first time The Block has ventured into Victoria’s Hampton, first setting up shop in 2021 for the Fans vs. Faves season.
However, the fan page predicted Charming Street filming and the final layout would more likely resemble The Block 2017, which was filmed in Elsternwick.
