My Kitchen Rules 2022‘s Janelle and Monzir are set to go head-to-head with Kate and Mary in the upcoming finale, but we think we already know which of the fan favourites will win the $100,000 prize money.

While the two MKR duos will be feeling the heat during the August 31 finale, Sportsbet has given a sneak peek at who will come out on top.

According to the betting site, Janelle and Monzir will take out the big win, with odds sitting at $1.20 at the time of publication.

Janelle and Monzir Have Been Favourites Since the First Episode of My Kitchen Rules 2022

The loved-up couple has been setting the standard since day one, even pulling out the season’s first perfect 10s of the competition from judges Manu Feildel and Nigella Lawson.

Since then, the MKR team has gone from strength to strength in the competition, and the semi-final was no different.

They served a main of “lamb backstrap with kisir and ezme salad”, which Manu praised as a “very clever dish”. However, their basil panna cotta didn’t set correctly.

So My Kitchen Rules fans weren’t surprised when Manu announced the New South Wales duo were the first team to win a spot in the final two during the August 30 semi-final.

He praised them for cooking the best three-course menu of the night.

While fans expected their semi-final success, Janelle admitted she was “so relieved” after hearing Manu call their names.

“We worked so hard for this, and going to the grand final is an absolute dream come true,” she said, adding, “We’re hungry for this.”

Queensland-Based Best Friends Kate and Mary Could Still Take Out The My Kitchen Rules 2022 Win

Sportsbet currently has besties, Kate and Mary, with reasonable odds of $4.50.

But the Queenslanders aren’t about to roll over and take the possible final loss without a good fight.

“We’ve come this far; we just want to go to the top,” Mary said.

She added: “I can’t believe we’re one cook away from winning $100,000. It’s our intention to win this competition.”

During the semi-final, the self-proclaimed “food snobs” were praised by Manu for perfectly cooking their duck breast with caramelised radicchio (yeah, we don’t know what that is either but damn, it looked good).

However, their potato dauphinoise (again, what?) needed more garlic, and their tahini crème brulée needed less sesame seed oil.

Manu described the strange dessert’s main ingredient as a “smack in the head”. Dang, tell them how you really feel!

The My Kitchen Rules Semi-Final Saw the Shock Elimination of Two Teams

My Kitchen Rules fans said goodbye to two teams during the semi-final – first Matt and KT, then Sophie and Katherine.

Matt and KT were eliminated after receiving the lowest score on their entrée, king prawns with bush tucker dukkah and mint yoghurt.

Uhm, send the leftovers this way; thanks!
