Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie may have only just announced their break-up. However, it turns out, they could have actually split back in May.
On August 8, the pair took to Instagram with a joint post to say that they had “decided to go [their] separate ways”.
“There has always been a lot of love in our relationship, and there will continue to be as we transition into a friendship,” the announcement read, alongside a carousel of photos from their relationship.
Now, a friend of Olivia’s has revealed to So Dramatic! that the former couple never fully recovered from Jackson’s very public infidelity with Hannah Hughes.
“They broke up after he cheated, but she didn’t want him getting even more hate than they had already been getting,” they dished. “So they agreed she would go overseas and that they would split on [her] return.”
While this proves they truly did love each other, the friend gave even more intel on Olivia‘s jaunt in the UK.
“Olivia met a guy overseas and will be moving back for him,” the source revealed.
However, taking to her Instagram Story on August 9, the reality TV bride — who is currently in Australia — announced that she was “furniture shopping”, presumably after moving out of her current apartment she shared with her ex.
Married at First Sight‘s Olivia and Jackson Attended a Night-Out on Saturday, August 6
Three days before their announcement, a So Dramatic! spy spotted the pair on a night out in Sydney with MAFS alum Nasser Sultan, Daniel Holmes and a few other past participants from Married at First Sight Australia.
The insider was on her Hens night and even spoke to Olivia, saying she was the “nicest person”, before adding: “But of course, it was a brief interaction”.

While news of Jackson and Olivia’s romance ending flooded social media, another Married at First Sight Australia groom — Daniel — also had personal news to share.
Merely an hour after the 2022 MAFS golden couple announced their breakup, Daniel shared a post saying that he and Carolina Santos had also parted ways.
In the now-deleted statement, Daniel admitted he had been “bombarded so much” about his relationship status that he had to reveal the statement.
“I think it’s been obvious for a while that we have gone our separate ways,” he penned in a since-deleted post. “There’s no right way to deal with these situations.”
Following this, the friend of Olivia’s revealed that the pair had “planned” to wait for Carolina to return from her overseas trip to announce the news, just like Olivia and Jackson.
“Carolina planned to do the same, but Daniel wasn’t coping and buckled before she came back.”
