The X Factor Australia 2011 finalist Johnny Ruffo has revealed he is still in treatment for brain cancer after he was first diagnosed five years ago.
The singer and actor was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 and overcame a seven-centimetre tumour, which was removed successfully at the time.
However, in late 2020, the tumour returned and Johnny has since been battling his brain cancer with radiation and surgeries.
On August 8, the 34-year-old shared multiple videos and photos from post-surgery experiences on Instagram, with his family and girlfriend Tahnee Sims by his side.
These images can be found at the bottom of the article but may be distressing to some readers.
“Exactly five years to the day since my diagnosis. Still fighting this son of a b*tch,” Johnny wrote, adding the hashtag “#f*ckcancer”.
A slew of Australian celebrities shared their heartfelt messages and support for the singer.

Home and Away’s James Stewart added: “Fuck `cancer!👊🏽 good on ya Johnny!”
