Gogglebox alum Angie Kent has revealed why an uncomfortable encounter with former Bachelorette suitor Ciarran Stott made her rethink whether she wanted to get married – like, ever.

Speaking on her podcast Two Girls One Pod, Angie explained to co-host Yvie Jones why the now infamous Bachelorette nude drawing class with blonde TV bad boy Ciarran made her so uncomfortable.

In the 2019 ep, Ciarran stripped down to his birthday suit for a life drawing session as a part of a bizarre hen’s night — in front of the other male contestants, as well as Angie and Yvie.

“Oh my god, I remember I was so uncomfortable that they [The Bachelorette producers] threw me that,” Angie recalled.

Yvie had said to her at the time that the awkward encounter could have been her “last hurrah” before marriage.

“I got anxiety. I was like, ‘ew, imagine if this is it?’ That sign right there should have been a sign from myself to be like, ‘You should be excited that this could be your last dating experience!’ I was like ‘ugh’,” she said.

Angie Kent Shares Her Impassioned Thoughts on Bachelorette and Bucks Parties

In the same July 28 podcast, Angie ranted about her opinions on Bachelorette and Bucks parties being redundant because she believed the tradition was “humiliating” and outdated.

“Originally a bucks party and a bachelorette party wouldn’t even exist because we would not be getting sh*t all – but it was [originally] supposed to be a nice dinner and toast and be like ‘good luck with marriage’ [sic],” Angie said.

“But we’ve turned it into getting nude, hurting each other, having penis straws, wearing bride-to-be [sashes], everyone goes with the theme,” Angie said, with both women claiming there was a “lot of cheating” involved with bachelor parties.

“You go on these extravagant weekends where everybody just gets off their t*tties for, like, a weekend. And a lot of the time, they expect you to pay. That’s like $300 a head and a gift, and then you’ve got the wedding and then the wedding gift.”
