Set your egg timers and tie your aprons because My Kitchen Rules Australia 2022 (MKR) finally has a start date — and it’s super duper soon!
After a two-year hiatus, the beloved series that sees home cooks battle it out from their kitchens is back, and not without a shake-up.
This year, OG host Manu Feildel will be joined by UK import Nigella Lawson. And Goddamn, we can’t wait to see what the contestants cook up for her in the meecro-wah-vay.
The table is set, and all you have to do is take a seat from Sunday, August 7 at 7:00 pm, when it’s time to serve up the works.
Fans will soon be introduced to a new legion of friendly faces who will each represent their state as the competition returns to its original recipe: real people, real food and hopefully, a lil’ bit of drama.
So, what can we expect from My Kitchen Rules 2022?
According to Nigella, it’s goodies galore!
“Deep fried,” she mused. “Those are words I always want to hear!”
What Can We Expect When My Kitchen Rules Australia 2022 Starts?
Competing in couples, real Aussie will give it their all to convince Nigella and Manu that they are the best home cooks in the country. Both judges will travel around Australia as they critique a new batch of passionate home cooks.
“When you think about the food you love, it’s nearly always home cooking,” Nigella said in a June 16 promo for the show.
“I’m a home cook and it’s the food that I want to eat. I’ve come 17,000 kilometres to find Australia’s best home cooks!”
Throughout the series, Manu and Nigella will also be joined by a number of guest judges.
This includes former MasterChef Australia judge Matt Preston as well as Colin Fassnidge and Curtis Stone.
Can You Apply for My Kitchen Rules Australia?
Unfortunately, applications have already closed to be a part of the 2022 series, however, with talent like Nigella, there will no doubt be a 2023 season!
