Beauty and the Geek 2022‘s Mike Gambaro has reportedly been spotted on a dating app despite hooking up with one of his co-stars.
The 20-year-old has quickly become a fan-favourite on the opposites-attract series, striking up a quick (and wholesome AF) romance with his Beauty, Heidi Mitchell.
However — #Meidi stans, close your ears — their relationship may not have translated into the real world. Sad reacts.
As reported in episode 204 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one source claimed that Beauty and the Geek‘s Mike is currently trying his luck on Hinge, the popular dating app.
It reportedly comes after “Mike was bragging about banging one of the Beauties”. However, it is unclear which Beauty the insider is referring to.
Does Mike Gambaro Work for Nine, the Network That Produces Beauty and the Geek?
Despite Mike declaring that he’s not a “fake” Geek, So Dramatic!‘s source said that the Queenslander actually works for Nine, the same network that produces and airs the show.
“He works for Channel Nine in their radio sector,” they said. “His contract states that he can’t work for any TV networks while going on the show but he talked his way out of it because he only works behind-the-scenes at Channel Nine.”
This follows speculation that the fellas on Beauty and the Geek are actors who are scouted by producers and are made to nerdify their appearances for shock-factor.
The insider then professed that Mike “has a big ego” and is a “narcissist”, but y’know. Take it with a grain of salt because ever since BATG 2022 premiered, the Batman fanatic has been nothing but a sweetheart and perfect gentleman!
