Heidi Mitchell is hoping Beauty and the Geek 2022 can fulfil one particular wish: find a best friend and soulmate all in one!
The 20-year-old waitress may have laid low for the first couple of episodes this season, but the self-described “hype girl” is quickly making herself known to audiences and the Geeks — specifically, Batman fanatic Mike Gambaro.
As such, we’ve got an inkling her wish might come true after host Sophie Monk matched the unlikely duo at the “Last Chance Saloon Mixer”.
Heidi says that she’s a sucker for a rom-com and loves to have a boogie with her gal pals. However, she’s hoping to meet her “polar opposite” while competing on BATG.
“I’ve always gone for the same type of person and I need to change it up,” the aspiring police officer told 9Now.
“It will be really nice to meet someone who could be my best friend or to find love, but I just want to find someone who will appreciate me for me.” Same, girl!

According to Heidi, she hasn’t always been as outgoing as she comes across on-screen.
Originally hailing from the countryside, the Victorian “used to be shy” and still “can’t leave the house without her makeup on”.
However, since leaving her hometown for big-city Melbourne, the Beauty and the Geek contestant is impressed with how far she’s come in owning her confidence.
She’s also proud of her ability to make people feel good by having fun and playing pranks.
With her “natural banter” and fun-loving personality, we have no doubt that Heidi will sweep her Geek off his feet!
