The Block’s “con woman” Emese Fajk was discovered speaking at a Ukrainian defence volunteer conference two years after one of the biggest scandals in Australian television.
After being accused of conducting multiple “scams” worldwide, Emese has reappeared to speak to reporters about the International Legion of Defence of Ukraine volunteer group.
In a public Instagram post exclusively found by So Dramatic!, Emese has revealed the leak about her personal identity could put her and her loved ones in danger.
She then slammed the Australian media specifically for focusing on her previous controversy – which saw her failing to pay the settlement on Jimmy and Tam’s Block in 2021 – rather than the situation in war-torn Ukraine.
Emese Fajk Released a Statement on Instagram After Publications Leaked Her Identity
According to her Instagram, the Hungarian has been working for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since March 12 this year.
She took on a “more public-facing role” as the Legion’s Communications Director on July 1.
“Since then I have been working to amplify the Legion’s voice, to share more personal stories, to create platforms and opportunities for our legionnaires to share their stories and experiences,” Emese said.
The “legionnaires” are international citizens who have come to Ukraine to fight against Russia.
“This is not about me and should not be about me. Focus should be on Ukraine. On Ukrainians defending their country, their freedom,” she wrote. “Our legionnaires coming to Ukraine to defend values, ideas and people from a barbaric invasion. [sic]”
The leak came the same day as Russian missiles killed 23 people, including three children, which Ukraine has stated was an “act of terrorism”, according to Al Jazeera.
The Media Leak Could Put Emese Fajk and her Loved Ones at Risk
Emese explained that leaking her contract as a soldier was “highly intrusive” and put her “family and loved ones” at risk.
“Russia is targeting foreigners serving in Ukraine,” she said, alleging the coverage could be a “criminal offence”.
She finished her statement by writing: “Slava Ukraini”, which translates to “glory to Ukraine”.

Emese purchased The Block couple Jimmy and Tam’s luxury home for $4.256 million in 2020, but she did not complete the sale.
She was accused of presenting false receipts of bank transfers regarding the payment.
Jimmy and Tam said the controversy had “tarnished” their experience on the hit TV show.
“It’s something no one ever saw coming. We’ve pretty much been conned,” Jimmy told Channel 9.
The Block’s “con woman” was later accused of sending false payment receipts to a landlord in Europe, according to news.com.au.
