Married at First Sight Australia 2019 couple Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis have revealed they’ve considered eloping while travelling across Europe.
In April, the couple told their followers that they’d be jetting overseas for an extended vacation, with some work peppered in there for good measure.
But could a wedding be on the cards, too?
Fans of the pair have been coming in hot with questions about Michael and Martha‘s impending nuptials since news of their engagement broke in December 2021.
Now, Michael has dished that eloping overseas isn’t totally off the table — if it weren’t for a few key family members’ opinions!
On his Instagram Story on July 4, the 31-year-old responded to the question box asking if he and his fiancée had considered tying the knot in Europe.
“It’s been discussed,” Michael confessed. “But I think we’d be hunted down by our parents and grandparents if we do that.” LOL! And for good reason!
Michael and Martha Have Previously Spoken About Wedding Plans
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard whispers of the fan-fave couple’s wedding plans.
Prior to their engagement, Martha confessed that she “couldn’t care less” where she and Michael wed.
“When the time comes, where would you want to get married? [Australia], Greece, etc?” one fan asked on Instagram.
“I couldn’t care less,” Martha admitted. “I just wanna be with my friends n family! [sic]”
The pair has also teased their family aspirations, with Michael telling followers that he’s not sure whether they’ll raise their future children in Melbourne — where he’s from — or Sydney.
“There are pros and cons to both,” the personal trainer wrote. “When the time comes we’ll make the decision that best suits us at that point.”
