Australia’s collective boyfriend Tony Armstrong has recently revealed that he used OnlyFans as a ploy to get people to donate to charity.

Fans lost their collective sh*t in 2021 after it was revealed the handsome TV presenter had an account on the adult content-sharing platform.

However, unlike a legion of Married at First Sight stars, the 32-year-old has confessed his OnlyFans content was less NSFW and more philanthropic.

In an interview with News.com.au, Tony came clean about the account being used to trick users into donating to The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“I did it because I was sitting with a couple of mates, [Skwosh Club owners] Jack Watts and Jack Turner, and they had a charity run of shorts, and we thought ‘wouldn’t it be funny if we did a troll thing and tricked people into donating money’,” the Silver Logie winner said.

Tony then explained that once people signed up for his content, “they would realise a subscription was for this charity”.

“It was just photos of me with cups of tea or a with a book or something. We ended up getting quite a few subscriptions,” he said.

While we’re absolutely LIVING for the ABC News Breakfast host’s shenanigans, Tony said his bosses weren’t thrilled with his foray onto OnlyFans.

“I wouldn’t say I got in trouble… I had ‘a chat’,” he dished. According to the star, he was required to get permission prior to his three-week stint on the site.
