Beauty and the Geek Australia just released its first promo for 2022 and we’re already frothing over the untapped potential.
After Beauty and the Geek‘s success last year – both for contestants and us watching at home – it’s no surprise the hit show is back in 2022.
In the first trailer, we’ve seen Geeks one quick haircut away from tall, dark and handsome and Beauties comparing their boobs to chickens, so we’re pretty sure it’s gonna be the best season yet.
Everything We Know So Far About Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022
The first trailer dropped on June 19, hinting at a military Bootcamp-style theme for this year, complete with one Geek having to use a nose inhaler while riding a tank. Maybe this year’s Geeks have traded in their Dungeons and Dragons collections for a game of Risk or a copy of Call of Duty on the PS5.
Meanwhile, we get our first look at the Beauties as they channel their inner princess, wandering in slow-mo through a forest before meeting up with the Geeks in an open field.
We’re immediately hit with Beauty and the Geek’s signature charm, as we hear from one female contestant who gives us a fun fact we never knew we needed.
“My boobs are double-Ds, so they each weigh the size of a fully grown chicken. So I’m walking around with two chickens,” she said. ICONIC!
Beauty in the Geek Will Bring Back Makeovers and We’re Pumped
Whether it be poultry or Harry Potter, the trailer goes on to show some sneak peeks of the interests and personalities we’re soon to meet before confirming what we’ve all been waiting for – makeovers are back!
We’ve particularly got our eye on one Geek who looks like the brunette version of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo in the best way possible. Oh, what wonders will a shave do to you?
“I don’t know where you found him but thank you,” one Beauty told host Sophie Monk, seemingly about our new favourite Shaggy beau.
We can’t wait to see how they turn out, with one transformation bringing one Beauty to literal tears.
So, What Makes Beauty and the Geek So Special?
ICYMI, ten beauties pair up with ten geeks, competing in challenges to grow as people and learn more about each other. Everyone is super supportive, whether they go on to pursue romantic relationships or just stay BFFLs.
Several BATG cast members found love with their partners on the show, namely Josie Werner and George Goldfelder, who had viewers a little (a lot) hot under the collar thanks to their horny AF performance of a Magic Mike: Live number! #NeverForget.
Meanwhile, besties Lachy “Star Jumps” Mansell and Kiera Johnstone most recently showed up together dressed to the nines at the 2022 TV Week Logies. So it’s all just heartwarming AF.
Oh, and the winners (literally the couple with the best connection and communication, awh) get to take home a $100,000 cash prize.
