Mrs Gilbert certainly has a nice ring to it and now, The Bachelor Australia 2020’s Irena Srbinovska and Locky Gilbert have shared a stunning proposal video on Instagram.
On June 13, the pair uploaded a clip called The Proposal, which showed them standing under a waterfall.
Now, fans of the couple will know that this is a special place for them since they had their hometown date under one on the show.
Accompanied by Lady Gaga‘s Hold My Hand, the video showed Locky getting down on one key asking the nurse to marry him. We’re not crying, YOU’RE crying!
“The moment that I have dreamt of since I was a little girl,” Irina captioned the video. “Getting engaged to my soul mate, my best friend and the love of my life.” Awww!
“I thought we were posing for some cute pics under the water, little did I know that Locky was planning this special moment and caught it all on video.”
Revealing that “waterfalls are so special to us” she added that their first trip as an IRL couple was to a waterfall, as was her parent’s first couple photo together!!
“So super special and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal. So us and so natural,” she gushed. “Love you always and forever my love, I can’t wait to be Mrs Gilbert ♥️”
Irena Reveals Where and When Her Marriage to Locky Will Take Place
On June 12, Irena took to her social media to talk about where the couple will hold their highly anticipated nuptials.
During a Q&A with fans on Instagram, Irena announced that the pair will tie the knot in 2023.
“It will be next year,” she said, responding to a fan question about when the wedding will take place.
Then, after a fan asked where they were planning the blessed event, Irena said it would be in her home state of WA.
“WA wedding hopefully,” she said. “We have the perfect location in mind just waiting to confirm availability.”
As for their honeymoon, Locky and Irena are planning a gorgeous trip to the Maldives, adding that her cousin lives there and they would “like to spend some time with them”.
Locky and Irena announced their engagement on June 4 2022 and recently celebrated a number of exciting milestones, including purchasing their first home together.
