Love Island Australia 2021′s Sadee Sub Laban, has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a teenager during a fight in Sydney.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the alleged altercation unfolded during Vivid’s opening weekend, which celebrates Sydney’s annual light festival.
The former Penrith Panthers under-20s player was reportedly seen arguing with a man at Circular Quay on Saturday, May 28, before a brawl ensued, with onlookers allegedly stepping in to break up the fight.
An 18-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital to be treated for multiple facial fractures.
Soon after, the young Sydneysider reported the altercation to Rocks Police Station.
Sadee turned himself into St Marys Police Station on Monday, May 31, after police appealed for information about the serious assault.
The 20-year-old was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and was bailed with strict conditions to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on June 22.
Sadee Sub Laban Left Love Island Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Sadee quietly stepped away from Love Island Australia in late 2021 after a barrage of serious claims was made against him.
As exclusively reported by So Dramatic!, more than 20 women came forward with similar stories with a number of them posting their experiences on social media.
Since he was going onto the show as a “bomb”, some of the women even called for producers to pull him from the lineup.
What Did Women Say About Their Experiences With Sadee Sub Laban?
One Instagram user said it was “not okay to give someone this amount of fame/attention when he had such a bad reputation for obvious reasons.”
“He makes people feel extremely uncomfortable, and he just does things that not many women would approve of.”
Another user posted damning allegations against the rugby player on their Instagram story which was then shared with So Dramatic!.
“Sadee from Love Island Australia 2021 is a bad dog, trying to force women to do sh*t with him, including me,” they wrote.
“He literally doesn’t know what no means. Lucky I’m strong but for someone else who isn’t as strong minded would of fallen victim to his BS. About time he got put on show. Poor form @loveislandAU [sic].”
His contestant profile was later removed from the official Love Island Australia website.
Sadee vehemently denied all claims.
