For the first time since leaving the villa, Love Island Australia 2021‘s Sadee Sub Laban has broken his silence on the many assault allegations levelled against him.
** CONTENT WARNING: This story contains references to sexual assault.**
The 21-year-old took to Instagram to live stream a video in which he addressed the claims. As reported on episode 117 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the accusations range from sexual harassment to more serious claims of abuse.
“This sh*t’s crazy,” he said, refuting the allegations. He also emplored the alleged victims to go to the police with their evidence rather than “sit there stupidly posting on social media because I’m coming for you now… I am coming for you now… Then you can have your clout after that.”
Sadee also revealed that some women had even accused him of “rape” but he vehemently denied the allegations.
“Regret doesn’t equal sexual assault,” he explained. “Just because you regret doing something with me does not mean I forced you to do something with me. Remember that.”
Sadee said he believes that the women levelling claims against him are only doing so as a result of him getting “an advertisement on TV”.
“That’s the story of most of these girls out there… they just want a bit of the clout and then they forget everything.”
The young Sydney-sider also revealed that the Love Island producers raised the claims with him while he was in the villa.
“I was told exactly what was happening when I was on the show,” he said. “I got no airtime from the show because the producers even started to believe this sh*t.”
“This ruined my whole damn experience.”
He then went on an angered rant, questioning the claims made against him and calling the women making the allegations “stupid.”
“They say they have videos of me. Please show me,” he begged. “Apparently, there is a video of me raping some chick. A video of me doing that. Firstly, who’s recording? And secondly, if I’m doing that, aren’t you struggling? Think about it: why would you be recording me doing that? Think about it. Youse [sic] are all stupid. The thing is no one has the common sense of a brain to figure this shit out [sic].
“Some girl tried to say that I was raping her in her house and it was getting too much so she had to ask me to leave. Who the f*ck rapes someone and then because they ask them to leave, they leave the house?
F*cking use your brains to figure this shit out. It’s not that hard… But nah, some people don’t have common sense. Everyone just agrees when a girl says something that’s it, that’s the truth. It’s not the truth.”
He then issued a warning to the women who had spoken out against him.
“For all the girls saying I sexually assaulted them, you’re next,” he warned. “I swear to god, no one is safe.”
He echoed this warning again later in the live stream, warning anyone who had come forward with allegations: “I’m coming for you. I’m coming for all of you now.”
The full audio from Sadee’s live stream can be listened to in full in episode 122 of the So Dramatic! Podcast.
What Were The Claims Made Against Love Island Contestant Sadee Sub Laban?
As reported by So Dramatic! the Penrith Panthers Under 20s player has copped a barrage of serious claims against him.
More than 20 women have come forward with similar stories, posting their experiences with Sadee on social media. Some even called for the producers of Love Island Australia to pull him from the show.
One Instagram user said it was “not okay to give someone this amount of fame/attention when he had such a bad reputation for obvious reasons.”
“He makes people feel extremely uncomfortable, and he just does things that not many women would approve of.”
Another user posted damning allegations against the rugby player on their Instagram story which was then shared with So Dramatic!.
“Sadee from Love Island Australia 2021 is a bad dog, trying to force women to do sh*t with him, including me,” they wrote.
“He literally doesn’t know what no means. Lucky I’m strong but for someone else who isn’t as strong minded would of fallen victim to his BS. About time he got put on show. Poor form @loveislandAU [sic].”
Sadee Sub Laban Was Removed From The Love Island Australia Website
The removal follows a petition signed by multiple women advocating for the young contestant to be extracted from the show. It also comes after one woman — who did not wish to be identified — revealed to So Dramatic! that Channel 9 failed to do their due diligence after she raised concerns with the network.
