On Monday night, The Bachelor Australia frontman Osher Günsberg took to The Project to confirm that the upcoming season would, in fact, feature THREE suitors.
While So Dramatic! had already exclusively revealed that Felix Von Hofe, Thomas Malucelli and Jed McIntosh would be our frontmen for the upcoming season, last night we finally heard it from the bachelors themselves.
“We are so excited. We’re doing a world first. No one in the world has ever had three bachelors. And so, therefore, the way it works, the way everyone gets to know each other is very different this year,” Osher said, adding that the process has been “fascinating” thus far.
We have a feeling that “fascinating” won’t be enough to get viewers back onside after what is shaping up to be a major oversight by Network Ten.
Brooke Blurton’s Friend Gab Ebsworth Spoke Out
So yes, after a previous Bachelorette season that heroed a bisexual, First Nations woman – Kween Brooke Blurton – Network Ten has backed it up with… three white men. How revolutionary.
Brooke’s friend and First Nations woman, Gab Ebsworth, took to Instagram to voice her disappointment with the network’s head-scratch-inducing decision, writing:
“How are you going to have the most incredible queer, Blak and lovely Bachelorette in [Brooke] then back it up with three boring white guys the year after? [sic]” she wrote on her Story.
“It’s f*cking embarrassing and just goes to show networks don’t care about diversity but about shock value. It’s a real shame [Channel Ten] turned up so many people of colour for this snooze fest.”
It is safe to say that the general public also had a lot of thoughts.
From the men’s celebrity lookalikes to the deep-rooted tokenism that has plagued the franchise for years, the spectrum of conversation was vast, fast and furious.

+ Maybe Channel 10s definition of diversity is hair colour or age difference or surnames that aren’t the same 🤦🏼♂️. #TheBachelorAU
